A few weeks ago I got a text from a friend saying I should meet up with him for happy hour.
I was at home doing nothing so I made my way over to Sea Fresh (best decision ever)
The one thing Raul said was "this place is legit son"
I loved everything about the place. Raul goes there at least twice a week and has managed to make friends with the staff so they always take care of him.
This time around I took Sarah. We decided to basically share everything that way we can try more dishes
fish and chips
hamburger sliders
look how cheap everything is. happy hour is from 2pm to 7pm
beer......$1.50
nachos
spicy thai turkey sliders with coleslaw
fried fish taco (i thought there was too much cheese though)
jumbo shrimp cocktail
ceviche tostada
calamari
chowder buoy
where all the magic happens

Santa Monica Food Truck
Every Tuesday from 5pm-10pm there is a food truck lot in Santa Monica
Located on the corner of Main St and Ocean Park (2612 Main St 90405)
The truck line up changes every week
Tonight's line up (8/23):
A Rockin Ice
Aunty's Fry Bread
Barbie's Q
Dosa
Greasy Weiner
Hungry Nomad
Lobsta Truck
Me so Hungry
Ta Bom
The Nacho Truck
Some of the trucks take credit cards. It's also a great idea to bring a blanket and picnic outside of the Victoria food court. I prepared for today by not eating breakfast or lunch. Sarah and I came up with a game plan. We checked out the menu of each truck online and wrote down what we wanted. We decided if the serving was big we would just share so that we can try more dishes. Awesome planning on our part. We ended up getting food from 6 trucks.
pulled pork mac & jack from Barbie's Q
Barbie's Q. they had the nicest staff & most efficient system
KTM sliders from Me So Hungry
the mac & jack after we mixed it up
waiting for our food at Me So Hungry truck. They had the longest line and wait
minced beef wrap (lahmajune) from Hungry Nomad Truck
steak and brazilian chorizo taco from Ta Bom
Cali slider from Me So Hungry
we worked our way from the right side then moved down and made a circle
lobsta roll from Lobsta Truck (by far the best thing i ate today)

My CPA friend Candice was nice enough to do my 2010 taxes and when i asked her how much I owed her she told me it was on the house. In return, I promised to treat her to sushi when I got back to the west coast. We decided to hit up the spot where we all used to go all the time. This is where we celebrated birthdays and random occasions. We ended up sitting in the teppan section

ordered this to go (that's how i roll)
Candice, Moi, Linda (reunited and it feels so good)
We are definitely coming back very soon. I've missed this place. Sitting there for two hours reminded me of all the drunken nights we spent in the sushi area. I once had a 4 hour dinner there with a friend. We did work

I made it my mission to try all the pupuserias around town
This is 2 of 4....
on this visit we decided to only have Salvadoran food....no Mexican
complimentary chips and salsa....that salsa was muy picante
plantains with beans and special sauce. those two mixed together is the perfect dip
cabbage with hot peppers. used as a topping for pupusa
the works....hence the size. next time i need to take a pic of the inside
bistec con arroz y frijoles
Compared to La Carreta (first place i tried) this place was so so. I suppose to helps that they also have Mexican food. The pupusas at LC were far better
