Petrossian restaurant is housed in the historic Alwyn Court Building on Manhattan's West Side. The French-influenced contemporary menu features caviar, smoked fish, and foie gras delicacies for which Petrossian is known throughout the world.
They happened to have a prix-fixe lunch menu so we decided to try that.
We loved the food and the service was fantastic (as well it should be) but we had a Pretty Woman moment when we walked in. I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt as was my cousin Sarah....when we walked in the host did the rudest thing - he looked us up and down. The worst part was he wasn't at all subtle about it. I nearly smacked him. I know the place is where the upper east side folks come to lunch but damn that was just unnecessary.
Loved the place but definitely not coming back

we were the first diners of the day. we came in right after they opened

i decided to have an organic green salad

my entree: braised long island duck leg
