Tapas Bar (Ventura)

Last Christmas my Aunt and cousin from the Philippines came to visit us for a couple weeks
I found another excuse to eat out every night
One of the places I took them to was Main St in Ventura
We picked this random place for dinner one night




calamari for appetizer



i have no idea what this is. it wasn't my order



they don't drink but i do. tried a martini



chicken pasta con salad



my sister got a caprese panini



my Aunt got the salmon with potatoes and veggies




crepes....my love


They thought the serving was too much. I don't mind it at all

Neptune's Net in Malibu

One of the best things about living in Oxnard is how close we are to the L.A. area and Santa Barbara. We're only about 20 minutes away from Malibu which is perfect because the one place we love to visit is Neptune's Net. They have been featured on many shows, Rachel Ray dropped by when she did an L.A. special for her show. It can get super packed especially during the weekend, but it is ALWAYS worth it. Its pretty common to bump into celebrities, Adam Sandler and Vin Diesel are always there.

There are 2 sides. One is where the fried foods are and the other has all the fresh seafood
Must haves: clam chowder, seafood ceviche, shrimp platter, oysters



the front area is normally reserved for the bikers



always gotta have the clam chowder...they have the best



i've gotten used to drinking this when i visit...old habit



we always get 2 combos

after our meal we normally cross the street to the beach area to watch the surfers do work

Ocean Seafood Restaurant

Anytime we go to Chinatown we always have dim sum here
Its always so packed, but we're normally seated pretty quickly because of how big our party is
We always have a great time here that's why we keep coming back

Bice and Brio (NYC)

During the time I visited, my sister's husband was the executive chef of Bice in midtown

We stopped by for dessert one day.
That tiramisu was the best i've ever had...no lie




We had lunch at Brio. It was so-so. I wasn't impressed








compared to the Bice tiramisu this one failed

Serafina (NYC)

Two years ago, I spent 2 weeks in NYC to visit my sister who lives there
I was able to see a lot of the city and also eat like i've never eatin before
We visited Serafina for lunch one day. I forgot which location it was

I love AS, but they have the worst service. I get better service going to In n Out
I'm not going to get into details, but i'll just say i've never gone back after this visit
I picked the Ventura location because its located right across the beach
Their other location is in Camarillo

Au Revoir Paris

Our last meal in London was Spanish food
Before we left Rome we had Chinese food
So for our last meal in Paris we kept it going and we decided to have Italian food
We found a restaurant down the street from our hotel
It was the best meal of my life....for real

Italians like to put an egg in the middle of a pizza. oddly enough it was good









the most boring salad i've ever seen in my life

still smiling after our 3 hour dinner...they loved us. They kept thinking we were Japanese and we reminded them numerous times that we were Cali girls
