Cancun Airport
Terminal 3
Not once did i set foot inside Senor Frogs or Margaritaville in Playa Del Carmen because that's where all the loud drunks are, but i figured i'd end my Mexico trip at Margaritaville.
Funny thing happened...uhm i got drunk and nearly missed my flight. Classic Julie move
ultimate margarita (it did say on the menu that this drink is for margarita enthusiasts)
tacos del pollo. it tasted like something out of el pollo loco but i was tipsy at this point
plain
yes, i took a close up pic of the guacamole
jimmy buffett was on the tv the WHOLE time....hilarity
at this point one could say i'm feeling woozy. you can tell by my Asian glow
here i hit happy times...that had to be the strongest margarita EVER. it was mostly tequila
view from where i was sitting. where i should've stayed instead of passing out in some random corner

El Carnicero
28th street b/w 5th and 10th Avenue
You can't help but stop when you pass this spot because the smell is outrageously good
Before I left for Mexico all my friends who've been to the area told me that i had to have steak because they make them there perfectly. I decided to have that as my last meal. I checked out a few different places and decided to try this spot right after i got my tattoo. Best last meal ever. If i was ever on death row this would be my last meal. It was perfection. My steak was cooked perfectly....it nearly melted in my mouth. A little on the pricey side, but that's normal for steak prices. I will definitely hit that up when i come back....pronto
yes, there's a huge cow inside
unique menu. they list the grams
discovered a new beer...this tastes super good
there's a breakdown of what parts of the animal is which (makes sense)
starters: mushrooms with olive oil and herbs
rib eye with baked potato and guacamole - recommended by the chef (perfectly cooked)
I should have taken a pic after i cut the meat in half

Hard Rock Cafe
Rafael E. Melgar No. 2-A
Col. Centro C.P. 77600
Cozumel, Q. Roo; Mexico
We spent the day in Cozumel (boat ride from Playa del Carmen is about 35 mins) and ended up having American food. It was pretty convenient because this was located literally across the street from where the boats dock
American prices therefore the serving is also American portions. Food wasn't all that great, but the decoration was entertaining enough. The tv played 80s music videos...i was highly entertained
I would have preferred to hit up a local spot
its apparently the smallest HRC in the world
i dug this
random american family
pulled pork sammich with fries, coleslaw and beans
look at the size of that pork ball
that looks kinda sick...needless to say we didn't try it
the elvis corner

Taco Chido
10th Avenue
I convinced Caren that it would be to our advantage to eat outside the touristy area.
This was my choice....you can't really go wrong when its filled with locals outside (it was too crowded inside). Considering there was only one guy working the service was on point. The tacos were better than the burritos. Great call on my part. This was definitely the hot spot
the only guy working...he was serving at least 40 people
one of the few places that serves burritos...they're pretty rare in the area
local pricing means super cheap
Mexican food tastes so much better with a bottle of Corona
check out all the local emo kids....they were talking about how great Black Swan was
beef and pork taco with a big ass burrito
look at all that goodness
right next door was a juice/crepes place. of course i had to try it
dude makin my nutella/banana crepe
look at all that nutella....love
I forgot to take a pic of my order cos i was so damn excited to eat it. mucho bueno

Maktub (Lebanese)
5th Ave between Calles 28 and 30
As soon as we passed this place we knew we had to eat there mainly because you can't really eat Mexican food every single day. You gotta throw in something different in there.
We dropped by for dinner. two thumbs up.....we skipped the fondue thing and dove in to the actual food. I did forget to take a pic of the falafel that Nico had. I definitely recommend this place. Price friendly, great service, great food and as it happens it was literally right outside our hotel. Score
merely a photo op. i don't drink Tecate...tastes like piss
Nico went to the restaurant next to Maktub and decided to pretend he was eating there. good thing cos the place was empty. they probably appreciated his company
i stuck with lemonade
forgot what Caren got but that chicken was bomb
i had the arab combo...that's what it was called
teeny tiny piece of dessert....delicious

Club NĂ¡utico Tarraya
Calle 2 Town Center
This is the oldest restaurant in Playa and it looked super old.
We ended up here completely by accident. It looked like a quiet area and we wanted to be away from all the loud tourists so we posted up here. We got there by 11 but they didn't serve drinks or food until noon so i was hungry for an hour. The wait was well worth it. Everything was good....so good that we stayed even though it started to get windy. Caren ended up getting a massage for an hour (only cost $35!) while Nico and i passed out under the sun. Good times
prices were significantly lower compared to the other restaurants by the beach
beach necessities: my bb, a book and a pina colada
posted up here for about 7 hours gettin my burn on
mixed ceviche. delicioso
the hottest of all hotness. i literally had one piece and had to down my drink. that was painful
giant shrimp with rice. this was so good i ended up eating using my hands
Caren's plate: calamari with rice and salad. this was super spicy
that sauce was to.die.for
