Applebee's then Mary Poppins

I can't even remember the last time i ate at Applebee's
All the ones back home closed down last year
I remember because we went to one for lunch and the doors were closed :(
We decided to go watch Mary Poppins yesterday so we went to Applebee's right after we got our tickets

the empty bar...it was barely noon. the bartender was so funny though. i overheard her convo and at one point she said "i was so drunk last night i saw colors i didn't even know existed."

no words. i died and went to chocolate heaven. i drank a glass of water right after that

Trump Grill inside Trump Tower

we ended up spending the day in the city
our original plan was to line up at tkts and check out some deals on matinee broadway shows
unfortunately tkts was closed so we ended up walking around instead
went to: m&m store, fao schwartz, st. patrick cathedral, ziegfeld to watch shutter island and lunch at the Trump Tower

caesar salad...pretty sure i downed that in like 2 minutes. i was hungry





Caren had the trump grill burger, i ate half of it and i swear to God i got chest pains right after. damn you beef



i opted for the marinated chicken sandwich with pesto, cheese and bacon



look at that beauty....melted like butter. it was so good




that beef was scary looking. there was too much of it. Caren didn't add any toppings



brownie a la mode. by far one of the best i've had. it was just right, not too sweet

**Definitely coming back here again***

Bubba Gump in Times Square

My first day alone in the city
Caren had to take some test for school so i rolled with her then she left me by myself
I walked aimlessly, the only place i really wanted to go to was the MoMa
Somehow i ended up at Bryant Park amidst all the fashion week commotion

met up with Caren for lunch at where else....Bubba Gump

Vday Brunch @ Heritage Diner

I'm a big fan of mom & pop establishments
Caren wanted to do brunch for Valentine's Day and this is where we ended up
The place is Italian owned
It hit the spot...we ate everything

**next up we're going to hit up Hiram's which was featured in Anthony Bourdain's No Reservation. Its where he ate regularly as a child. Just so happens he grew up in Leonia which is the next town from where we are. **

Nathan's (Coney Island)

We checked out the NY Aquarium and since we were at Coney Island there's really only one place to hit up for food. That would be the famous Nathan's where they have the hot dog eating competition during the summer.
This was my second visit, last time was when I came to NY for the first time back in the summer of 2007







they have seafood but i wasn't about that

The 101 Pub

We celebrated Caren's birthday a day early so on the day of we hit up a local spot
She happens to live in an area littered with restaurants/pubs
Apparently she's never been to any of them so we went to the closest one to the house
This place wasn't even a block away...






i was irritated they didn't have my beer (Stella) opted for what they had on tap

That totally confused me



this was perhaps the worst calamari in the world. it tasted like paper. i poured massive salt and pepper and lemon just to give it some flavor. Neptune's Net it ain't
