White Castle

The best part about White Castle aside from having awesome sliders is that they're open 24/7
This was was literally just a minute away from the hotel
corner of 39th and 8th

Mel ordering our food

yeaaaaaaaah boy

i covered mine with hot sauce...it tasted so much better

gotta add the cheese in there

No wonder Harold & Kumar are obsessed with them things

euroPAN

there's a bunch of these in the city
mainly we wanted to hit up the spot cos it was a block away from the hotel where we were staying at

can't really eat that in the morning

but it looked delicious

2 eggs sunny side up, turkey bacon, potatoes and toast

french toast with scrambled eggs

what a way to start the day...after this we walked around for about 3 hours
the city is really quiet early in the morning, it was perfect
6am is the best time to be out and about

The View inside Marriott Marquis

http://www.theviewny.com

This is a tourist MUST
My sister and i hit this place up 3 years ago
You don't need a reservation and the wait is normally about 30 minutes
The View is New York's only revolving rooftop restaurant on the 48th floor of the Marriott
Diners have two options, you can do the dinner buffet for $32.95 or the cheese and dessert buffet for $17.95
Great deal if you ask me considering how epic the view is
The food is greeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaat

well hello there

plate 1...i ate all of that

plate 2. my favorite thing was definitely the mozzarella balls & Asian shrimp salad

just a peek...saving the best for last

didn't touch any of that. i avoid bread when i have buffet

dessert plate 1....chocolate covered strawberries. need i say more

i had 3 plates then decided to have a salad, cos i'm retarded like that

digested for about 15 minutes then resumed my mission

fondue fondue fondue. the best part was picking what to dip in there

Lucy and Mel...behind them is the Chrysler building

the view from where we sat.....epic

Street Snacks

We were on a quest to have Italian food, i looked up and saw Trattoria so of course we were sold
Not the best food, but we were starving so everything tasted delicious
I was also drunk off of the pitcher of Sangria i was downing so by the time the food came i was in a very good mood

ever since my Rome visit i can never have Italian food without having a caprese

chicken marsala. the meat was on the dry side but everything else was good

this was quite good. the cheese was perfect

sangria time....

see the Asian glow...that's after 2 glasses. that was potent

Dim Sum in Chinatown

One sign that the spot you're hitting up is the right place to eat at for dim sum.....
If all the Asians are there then you've hit the jackpot

Neighborhood: Chinatown
46 Bowery
(between Bayard St & Canal St)
New York, NY 10013
(212) 374-1319

3 people...tab was $24

Junior's Part Deux

Even before Mel arrived from Arizona she wanted to hit up Chinatown for dimsum. by the time we got to the city we were both starving and i wasn't about to take the subway. So Junior's it was since it was literally down the st from Times Square

red velvet cake. its not cheesecake which is what they're famous for but its my favorite so we had to try it

i wanted to jack that

perhaps the best root beer i've ever tasted in my life then again i'm not a soda person

half ribs/chicken. the chicken was delicious but the ribs. well the jury is still out on that one

Uno Chicago Grill (Columbus Ave)

We spent the day at the Museum of National History
Its where the movie Night at the Museum with Ben Stiller was shot
For some reason i keep thinking i'd been there before, but i was oh so wrong
Great exhibits. The Philippines had a nice corner
We left at 3pm famished so we walked over to Columbus Ave and the first place we saw was Uno

Nico isn't paying attention...all he cares about is his new toy

num num gum gum

Nicolas using his new toy, it grips his crackers well

half mango juice and iced tea. bomb lemonade

appetizer. fries, hot wings, chicken tenders, fried mozzarella sticks & onion rings

mediterranean pizza...oh so good

it was a beautiful day in the city. the tulips are out with a vengeance

Happy Birthday to ME

Since we were driving from Virginia back to Jersey on my actual birthday, the celebration had to wait until today.....2 days later
i lined up at TKTS and scored prime seats for the new Mamet play Race
went to Junior's for lunch right after i got the tickets

what i didn't drink

i actually wasn't all that hungry so i got a special. half sammich with a salad

pastrami goodness
