Gordon Ramsay's Maze at London NYC

My sister Caren's birthday is tomorrow (2/1) so we celebrated tonight
We went to see the Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber play A View from the Bridge
Right after the play we went to the Gordon Ramsay restaurant called Maze inside the London Hotel over at West 54th St.
They happened to have a 5 course meal so to make things easier we both went for it

Donya Rosa

I decided to take Calli (my 5 year old niece) bowling since we were holed up at home all day
She picked bowling since the other choice was ice skating and i'm not really down for the cold right now.
After bowling for an hour we decided to get some snacks and as we were about to leave i noticed there was a Mexican restaurant inside the bowling alley....JACKPOT

carne asada carnitas (i forgot to order half/half chicken/beef)

torta. carne asada. this is my second favorite Mexican dish

huarache combo ( i had no idea what this was but i ordered one anyway)

right before we left i got her some ice cream

enjoying her rocky road ice cream from Baskin Robbins

**We only finished the tortas, she didn't like the carnitas so i only ate 2 and we barely touched the combo***

Chicago for Ribs

http://www.chicagoforribs.com

The best part about working for a company that makes millions of money is that when the boss takes you out to dinner he goes all OUT
Our VP came to visit us for a week and decided to take everyone out to dinner
He asked where we wanted to eat and I was the first to suggest Chicago for Ribs
I don't eat ribs all that often cos well its some expensive stuff
Prior to this visit I had only eatin at CfR once and that was purely accidental

Big shout out to Tom for picking up the tab
He even paid for all our drinks....i rekindled my love for Mojito that night
I must've had at least 3 of them things

I was eyeing this while I sat at the bar sipping on my mojito

I try to balance. Mojito con Agua haha

hella ribs. this wasn't my plate

now this was mine. i know how to order

Fernando making a killing. He was so cute that night all embarrassed to eat like a pig

hot fudge brownie a la mode. this picture turned out kinda bad. people were shy to order so they left it to me cos i have no shame. i think i was the only one who ate this

Anaba Sushi

http://anabasushi.com

Sushi completes me
Japanese is pretty much my safe go to food
Since most of my friends are also sushi lovers we like to out do each other by finding the best places to have sushi
Anaba is a new place I found by where my sister lived
We decided to celebrate my niece Calli's 5th birthday there

Believe it or not I pretty much ate everything on those plates. Well not 100% but still....

I always drink a large Asahi when I have my sushi

House salad. One of the best house salads i've ever had. I LOVE mango

mixed tempura

seaweed salad. another must have

tuna sashimi

birthday girl (in the middle) with her cousins Nathan and Alison. Not sure what's goin on with her face, I'm guessing she was tired

Jonathan's at Peirano

http://www.jonathansatpeiranos.com/

Two years ago when my older sister got married this is where the reception was held
We loved the place because of how great the food/service is
Incidentally, the Executive Chef/Owner is married to a Filipina so there is a bit of Asian fusion in their menu

I try to visit as much as I can. Michael and I went on a Friday night which turned out to be a great idea since their happy hour is pretty nice. We just had appetizers since we actually went pretty late.

I always have to drink Stella...beer of champions

was about to get a bottle of the 2003 Quintessa but Michael doesn't like wine and i'm not about to drink a whole bottle by myself

Jocelyn (owner's wife) had to represent. Lumpia rolls

Antipasto Sampler. Everything is great...i could eat this daily
(prosciutto parma, genoa salami, capicola, sicilian black olives, Greek kalamata olives, smoked mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, Asiago cheese, house made caponata, marinated mushrooms, red seedless grapes, marinated artichoke hearts and roasted garlic cloves)

Tempura Battered fried Calamari

enjoying my brewsky

Mikey is starting to have that Asian glow after downing some beers

After all that food and drinks we ended up with a $42 tab. You really can't go wrong with $3 beers. I love this place

Duke's in Malibu

My sisters and I (along with their kids) went to the Getty in Malibu one weekend.
On our way back home we got hungry so we decided to drop by Duke's in Malibu
